Overview

CRA successfully delivered a custom-built Biogas compression skid system for Adani Infra (India) to support efficient Biogas recirculation within an anaerobic digester. The system was designed to boost digester performance by injecting Biogas through multiple lances in a controlled, sequential manner. The package combined a reliable compression unit with a modulating rotary sequential valve system, improving biological conversion rates and overall Biogas yield.


The Challenge

Adani Infra (India) required a safe, continuous, and efficient method to recirculate Biogas into its digester system.


The solution had to:

  • Operate continuously at defined flow and pressure conditions.

  • Meet safety and automation needs within a compact footprint.

  • Integrate smoothly with existing plant infrastructure and control systems while adhering to the complex boundary conditions.


Our Solution

CRA engineered and delivered a compact, skid-mounted Biogas compression system equipped with the following core components:


  • Compressor Type: Rotary Sliding Vane (Ro-Flo Compressors[1])

  • Rated Flow: 250 Nm³/hr

  • Discharge Pressure: 9–10 psig


CRA’s long-standing relationship with Ro-Flo enhances the quality and customizability of the compressors we commission and integrate into our system. The compression system also included solenoid valves to automate the operation of the rotary sequential valve, facilitating controlled gas distribution without manual intervention.CRA also supported the commissioning and integration of the package with Adani Infra's existing systems, ensuring seamless start-up and reliable performance from day one.
