Gas & Liquid Metering Skids
Accurate, Reliable, and Compliant Flow Measurement with Engineered Metering Skids

Accurate, repeatable flow measurement for custody transfer and process accounting
CRA’s Metering Skids are modular, skid-mounted systems engineered for precise and repeatable flow measurement in gas and liquid services. These systems integrate flow meters, piping, flow conditioning, instrumentation, and controls into a compact, ready-to-install package. Designed for custody transfer and process measurement, CRA metering skids deliver high accuracy, long-term reliability, and compliance with international standards across onshore and offshore applications.

What is a Metering Skid?
A metering skid is a modular, skid-mounted system that measures gas or liquid flow with the accuracy and repeatability required for custody transfer, allocation, and process measurement, integrating the flow meter, flow conditioning, instrumentation, and controls into a single ready-to-install package.
How it works
Fluid passes through upstream conditioning to establish a stable velocity profile, then through the meter itself, before the flow computer calculates a corrected reading.
Gas or liquid passes through straight pipe runs, flow conditioners, and filtration that establish a stable velocity profile before reaching the meter.
Meter technology, ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis, or positive displacement, is selected based on the fluid, flow range, and accuracy class required, then measures the conditioned flow.
Pressure, temperature, and density inputs combine with the flow signal in the flow computer to calculate corrected volume or mass flow.
Key Benefits
Ensures precise, repeatable flow measurement for custody transfer and process accountability.
Pre-engineered skid design reduces site installation time and execution risks.
Supports ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis, and PD meters selected per application needs.
Proper upstream conditioning improves measurement accuracy and reduces uncertainty.
Engineered to meet applicable custody transfer and piping code requirements.
The CRA Edge
Extensive experience in gas handling, metering, and process systems.
Process, mechanical, and instrumentation engineering under one roof.
Designed to meet ASME, ISO, and custody transfer requirements.
Each skid is engineered for flow, fluid, and site-specific needs.
